Steam in the Snow

The Massachusetts Bay Rail Road Enthusiasts are sponsoring their annual “Steam in the Snow” departing from North Conway, New Hampshire promptly at 10:30 AM.  This is an event that has been setup for Photographers and will make 5 scenic stops along its route to and from Notchland. At the stops the train will back down the tracks and stage a pass-through for action shots.  You must purchase tickets for this event through MBRRE ($65.00 for non-MBRRE members) prior to the event and seats are limited.

To make reservations please call the MBRRE organizer at 978-470-2066.  If you get the answering device leave a message with a number at which you can be reached and the organizer will return your call within a couple of hours.  This is a sun, rain or snow event, it will not be canceled and there are no refunds on the tickets.  For more information you can go to www.massbayrre.org.  MBRRE provides a box lunch for an additional $12.00.

Hazel Meredith Awarded PSA Service Plaque

Hazel Meredith was awarded the Photographic Society of America (PSA) Service Plaque in 2012 for her meritorious service to the Society. The Service Plaque is awarded as a thank you in recognition of time freely given to ensure the success of the Society.

Hazel served as Camera Club Services Committee Chair before her present position as PSA Council Services Committee Chair. She is also the Camera Club & Council News Column Editor for the PSA Journal. In addition to her other PSA activities, she serves as Moderator for the Camera Club Sparkle.

PSA is a worldwide organization of both amateur and professional photographers, with members in over 70 countries. The PSA web site at www.psa-photo.org contains information about PSA, its activities, benefits, and membership opportunities.
