69th ANNUAL NECCC CONFERENCE DIGITAL IMAGE COMPETITION INFORMATION

DIGITAL IMAGE COMPETITION INFORMATION:
Complete rules and regulations for this competition may be found at www.neccc.org. Digital image makers may enter ONE open and ONE nature image (2 images total) for judging. Digital image files must be submitted in advance via e-mail (use the entry form at NECCC’s website, www.neccc.org) up to and including July 6, 2014. Sorry, NO e-mailed images can be accepted after this deadline. Thereafter, submissions may be made by CD at the Conference at the Hospitality Table area (Campus Center, Main Concourse) between noon and 4 p.m. Friday, July 11. However, these will be considered late and there will be a late entry fee of $20 per person for these submissions. If you will not get to the Conference until Friday evening or Saturday, you must submit your entry via the entry form on the NECCC website prior to the July 6 deadline. Digital report cards may be picked up Sunday, 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Images entered in the nature competition must conform to PSA’s nature definition. Eligible subjects include trees, wildflowers, weeds, grasses, fungi, ferns, mosses, animals or birds (except domesticated), reptiles, insects, fossils, weather, land/seascapes.(without boats or other human evidence), geological formations, etc. Ineligible subjects include cultivated plants or flowers, domesticated animals (dogs, cows, etc.), scenes that show human artifacts (fences, buildings, telephone wires, etc.), mounted specimens, museum habitats or groups, or subjects no longer alive. GENERAL INFORMATION: You may submit images in either or both the print and digital image competitions. Film-based color slides are no longer accepted for competition. While care is taken in handling, NECCC, Inc. assumes no liability for the loss of, or damage to, any prints, CD’s or other submitted material. If a print is believed to have market value or is irreplaceable for sentimental or other reasons, please submit a duplicate instead. All entries should be salon-type. Medals and honorable mention ribbons will be awarded in all classifications (open and nature digital projected images, color prints, B&W prints).
