Weekend presentation & workshops - Sigma Pro Judy Host - April 27 and 28 - Hamden, CT

Details: Judy Host, a respected photographer, lecturer and portrait specialist, will conduct her photography presentation and workshops the weekend of April 27 and 28, at Whitney Center, 200 Leeder Hill Dr., Hamden, CT, presented by North Haven Camera Club.  The Saturday presentation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a 1-1/2 hour lunch break, and the Sunday workshop choices are 9:30 a.m. to noon or 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Saturday presentation topics include: Branding your style with lighting, creating art in the camera, understanding lens perspective, and creating movement and drama.  The Sunday workshops will cover lighting techniques.

Judy Host, honored as a Sigma Pro, is a world traveler teaching seminars and workshops in editorial portraiture, specialized image processing, marketing and natural lighting. She has redefined the portrait photography world with her unique talent for capturing the heart and spirit of each individual she photographs, and has earned the respect and recognition of her colleagues during her 25-year career.

Judy Host's photographs have been selected for national exhibition by the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), from whom she has received the coveted Master of Photography and Craftsman degrees. Among Judy’s awards for outstanding environmental portrait photography, she has earned multiple Kodak Gallery Awards, given to photographers who excel in creativity and the pursuit of excellence in quality.  Judy's website, with portfolio and biography, is at https://judyhost.com/#home.

Sigma Corporation of America and Hunt's Photo and Video are sponsoring Judy Host's presentation and workshops, and will be displaying equipment for sale, just like they did for our Roamin' with Roman event last year.  Sigma will also provide select lenses for use during the Sunday workshops.

The Saturday presentation cost is $50, the Sunday workshop fee is $65, and the prices will be $5 higher at the door.  North Haven Camera Club members will receive membership discounts.
