Join Lou Jones in Boston for CCAA/Photography Center of Cape Cod's June 9 and 10 Street Photography Workshop

Join award-winning professional photographer and long-time NECCC supporter Lou Jones in Boston for an exciting, new workshop on street photography, an age-old tradition where the objective is to see and react to life around you. Using examples photographed around the world, Lou Jones will describe his personal journey in defining a methodology for street photography. He will share a developed lexicon that can be used when taking photographs of strangers in alien environments, including how to address the rules and laws when confronting new subjects. Besides shutter speed and aperture, you'll learn to balance light, composition, momentum and emotion The presentation will deal with comportment, equipment, technique and expectations. Lou will address common barriers such as language, protocol and hostility. Then Lou will take you shooting in Boston and teach techniques like properly observing, working fast, staying conscious of backgrounds, and finding a photograph in every situation. Students will be able to show their photographs for critique and review. He is one of Boston’s most diverse and inspiring photographers. His assignments have taken him to Europe, South America, Africa, the far East and across the US. Lou is past president of the New England chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers and was a long time member of the ASMP National Board of Directors.
