Adam Jones Coming to Connecticut

The New Haven Camera Club as part of its centennial celebration year will be presenting an all-day seminar by Adam Jones, an internationally recognized photographer and Canon Explorer of Light. The seminar, entitled Through the Lens of Adam Jones, will take place on April 9, 2011, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in North Haven, CT. The cost will be only $10.00, or $22.00 with lunch.

In the morning Adam will present a nature and wildlife show that highlights strategies and techniques for capturing outstanding nature and wildlife images. In the afternoon he will present a travel show that highlights travel from 9 different countries and demonstrates techniques and strategies for great travel images.

Taking and Making GREAT Photographs

Three Connecticut photographers who have been very active at the NECCC Summer Conference will be presenting a series of seminars at the Milford Fine Arts building, 40 Railroad Avenue, Milford, CT. The seminars will occur on Sunday, March 20, 2011, from 9:30 in the morning until 3:30 in the afternoon. The seminars will be presented by Hazel Meredith, MNEC, Lisa Cuchara, MNEC, and Tom Cuchara, MNEC.

The seminars cover taking better photographs with your camera, importing them into your computer, and editing them to make your pictures the best they can be. Lewis Kemper Coming to Connecticut

Lewis Kemper, a Canon Explorer of Light photographer, will be presenting an all day seminar in Salem, Connecticut, on Sunday, March 13, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This presentation is sponsored by Canon and is hosted by the Shooters Gallery Photography Group, an NECCC member club.

The title of this seminar is A Digital Day. Lewis will cover topics to help you get the most out of your digital camera including: light and composition, expanding the dynamic range of your images, and post processing your files. He will cover the use of the histogram and highlight warnings, custom white balance, light and composition, working in HDR, and demonstrate many of the tried and true techniques he teaches in his Photoshop classes.

General admission is $15 with a special $10 fee for members of photo clubs. Lunch is also available for an additional $10.
