New Items on the NECCC Internet Site

As you should all know by now NECCC is moving to an all-electronic publication system for news, club reports, technical articles, and other information. Subscribing to NECCC News, our blog and "liking" us on Facebook are your keys to keeping up with what's new. When your clubs begin meeting this Fall take the time to urge your fellow members to subscribe to NECCC News and check us out on Facebook.

Electronic Interclub Images of the Year for 2010-2011. The first, second, and third place images in each of our three interclub competitions for the past season were sent to two judges in Maryland who picked four winners, one for each class (A and B) in each category (pictorial and nature). The winners are now posted on the NECCC web site. To view the winners go to http://www.neccc.org/New_Outline_4.htm and click on 2010-2011 Images of the Year.

2011 Conference Competition Winners. Each year at our Summer Conference we hold projected image competitions in pictorial and nature. The results of these competitions are now posted on our web site. Go to http://www.neccc.org/New_Outline_11.htm and click on the 2011 Proj Image Results button at the top of the page to display a list of all scores and winners. Click on 2011 Proj Image Winners to see a gallery of the winning images; Click on each image to see an enlarged version along with the name of the winner and the image title.

Technical Articles Posted. On of the features of the now-discontinued NECCC Bulletin was a series of technical articles written by New England photographers. Eight of these were captured from the PDF versions of the NECCC Bulletin now on-line and posted on the new Technical Articles page. You can find these by going to the NECCC web site home page (www.NECCC.org), clicking on the Bulletin menu item along the left hand side, and then clicking on Technical Articles. This page will also demonstrate how other pages such as News and Club Reports will function once they are implemented.

We are very interested in having more technical articles from the New England community of photographers. If you know a subject well please write it up, preferably as a Microsoft Word file, and send it to Paul Smith, our new Editor of Online Content. You can e-mail him at Bulletin@NECCC.org. Since we are now online your article can be as long as needed to explain your subject and you are encouraged to include diagrams and photographs to illustrate it. I know we have many knowledgeable photographers who could contribute to this effort which will help all members of NECCC clubs.
