OPEN PHOTO COMPETITION AND SHOW IN RANGELEY
The
Rangeley Friends of the Arts presents the second annual Western Mountain
Photography Show on September 23-25: a multi-faceted weekend celebrating photography
and photographers. The weekend will include these components:
A Juried Competition with awards
- the theme is ANTIQUE, and Photographers may submit up to three images to
earn cash prizes in two categories - Color and Black & White. There will also be a prize for
Best Overall. Photographers interested in submitting work visit
www.rangeleyarts.org and click on “Photo
Show” for guidelines and information. Submissions are digital and the deadline
is September 11.
Juried
Exhibit will be on display on in the Banquet Room of the historic
Rangeley Inn and Tavern on Friday,
September 23 from 7 – 8:30 PM and on Saturday, September 24 from 10 AM – 8:30
PM.
Awards
Reception: Saturday,
September 24 at 7 PM in the Banquet Room of the historic Rangeley Inn and
Tavern. A catered, public event where all of the accepted images will be on
display and the winners will be announced and cash prizes awarded.
Photography Show and Sale: Saturday,
September 24 outside the entrance to the Juried show at the Historic Rangeley
Inn, from 10 AM – 3 PM, rain or shine. Enjoy the original work of photographers
and related vendors. To be an exhibitor, visit rangeleyarts.org and click on
“Photo Show” for an application. The Juried Exhibit will be on display free of charge to
the public concurrently inside at the Rangeley Inn.
