And now, the winning images in each of the four classes have also been chosen. The judge used for this daunting task was Anne Sutcliffe, of Solihull in Central England. She has served on the Royal Photographic Society’s (RPS) Distinction Assessment panel for 12 years and now serves as the liaison officer between the RPS and the Photographic Society of America (PSA); assisting with the planning for the PSA Portfolio Distinction and the training of its assessors. Anne is also a member of the PSA Portfolio Committee which serves to constantly refine and improve all aspects of the image assessment process. In making her choices, Anne wanted to pass along comments that every image was terrific and choosing the top four was not an easy process.
The high scoring clubs were:
Pictorial A Greater Lynn Photographic Association
Pictorial B Seacoast Camera Club AND Seven Hills Camera Club
Nature A Greater Lynn Photographic Association
Nature B Manchester Camera Club
Pictorial A “Determined Cowboy” by Jim Brady, Greater Lynn Photographic Association
Pictorial B “Icy Ballet” by John Mara, Upper Cape Camera Club
Nature A “Two Gannets And Mackerel” by Ken Carlson, Greater Lynn Photographic Assoc.
Nature B “Redtail Landing With Vole” by Sandy McMillan, Seacoast Camera Club
Congratulations to the clubs and individual winners. If winning image members are in attendance at the upcoming NECCC Conference, please advise them to attend the awards ceremony on Sunday morning to receive their much deserved award and congratulations. Likewise, any club representative in attendance should also attend the awards ceremony in order to also accept the award and well deserved congratulations.
Thanks to all from Bill Barnett and myself on another great and successful season,
