Light Painting at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery!

We have a couple of spots left for a special light painting workshop
We have after hours access to Sleepy Hollow Cemetery! All skills levels welcome
Sign up NOW. https://www.meetup.com/photography-by-lisa-and-tom/events/261629123/

Check out a few photos from previous nights there http://www.breaphotosgalleries.com/Locations/Sleepy-Hollow

We will be photographing in the cemetery after dark. We will meet at the gate by 5pm and shoot until 10pm.

You will learn how to control the ambient light with your long exposures and the "local" light with your flashlight. FYI, we will mainly be walking on the roads, and there is not a lot of walking required.

We will spend the first part of the session going over camera settings and tips for long exposures, light painting etc.

You MUST bring some sort of red flashlight (see below). You may not use a white flashlight as it interferes with your night vision, and it interferes with exposures.

Take exposures less than 30 seconds for pinpoint stars or for 1-10 minutes to capture some star trails, point your camera at the north star and get circular star trails (8-60 minute exposures); light the headstones, walk amongst them, be a ghost in your own image - the sky is the limit.

  • RED Flashlight (Walmart sells them or use red cellophane or red overheads from staples and tape). You MUST bring some sort of red flashlight. You may not use a white flashlight as it interferes with your night vision, and it interferes with exposures.

CLICK! 2019 Photography Conference -- SOLD OUT!

CLICK! 2019 Photography Conference

SOLD OUT!

The Art of Photography, Editing, Social Media, Mobile Photography, Digital Art, Photo Ops & More!

We've almost reached our sell-out capacity so don't wait to register for the Cape Cod Art Center's 6th annual CLICK! Photography Conference  November 2 at the Resort & Conference Center in Hyannis, MA. Register today!

New format for CLICK!

We've change things up a bit this year. For the first time we'll kick off the conference with our keynote presentation. This year's program is "Mindful Photography" by Charles Needle.

Pre-Conference Session
We've also added a pre-conference sessions on Wacom tablets by Shiv Verma. If you've ever wondered what all the fuss is about tablets, come check out Shiv's pre-conference program at 8:15. In this half-hour program, Shiv will guide you through the setup process, demonstrate practices for getting the most out of your tablet and answer all of your Wacom questions.  Shiv will also be on hand throughout the conference to answer your tablet questions.

This year we've extended the midday lunch break, adding photo ops with live models and dancers from the Haley School of Irish Dance, and two half-hour mini sessions.  First, if you've ever wondered if there's life beyond Adobe, check out "ON1: An Adobe Alternative" with John Tunney at 12:45.  During this half-hour mini session, John will demo key features of ON1 Photo Raw, an editing program that combines the best of Lightroom and Photoshop into a single application that can be used as a stand-alone program or as a plug-in. Then at 1:30 Andrew Martin of Tamron USA will discuss lens selection - what to use, when & why - in "The Science of Optics".

Hunt's Trade Show
Our friends at Hunt's Photo & Video will be back with the latest and greatest gear and accessories. Representatives from Fuji, Nikon and Tamron will also be there, and have cameras and lenses for you to check out. Want to trade-in your old gear? Bring it to Click! Hunt's Photo & Video will have an appraiser on hand who will evaluate your gear. He'll either give you check on the spot or a credit you can apply to the purchase of new equipment.

New (old) Location
Just a reminder that this year's conference is back at the Resort & Conference Center at Hyannis - not the Cape Codder. The Conference Center is located at 35 Scudder Ave, Hyannis, MA.
