The Winter 2018 competition, hosted by the Whaling City Camera Club, was held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at The First Congregational Church, Center Street, Fairhaven, MA. The competition was directed by chairman Joan-Marie Proulx (Vice-President of the Whaling City Camera Club) with assistance provided by Suzanne McDonald, Pat Bethel, Mary-Ann Cole and Sally Erickson Forty-two clubs participated in the Pictorial section (22 from Class A and 20 from Class B) and forty clubs participated in the Nature section (17 from Class A and 23 from Class B). Thanks are extended to the Whaling City Camera Club for hosting this second competition of the 2017-18 season.
The judges for the competition were:
• Ray Guillette, HonNEC. Past President of the Stony Brook Camera Club, Honorary Member of
the Photographic Soc. of RI, Past President and Honorary Member of NECCC.
• James Pennypacker. Juried member of the Cape Cod Art Center and Plymouth Art Guild.
• David Cuddy. Former photography editor for the Standard Times.
