but we will be able to walk the grounds, go into the cages, walk into the Giraffe house, the Rhino house, Kodak film selling yellow stores, see the mini-golf - great place for a photo shoot, a snapshot into the past of this historic landmark. I grew up in th Catskills and we used to go there on school trips -- and it was a real trip to be able to walk into the animal cages and photograph from inside!!

    Topaz DeNoise 6 sale

    Topaz DeNoise 6 SALE

I have tried all of the noise reduction software and Topaz DeNoise has always been the best (there are a few programs equally good at reducing noise, but they also reduce detail and result in a less sharp albeit less noisy photo)

Today Topaz is releasing Topaz DeNoise 6, an updated version of their noise reduction software, complete with new features. As always, the update is free to anyone who already owns DeNoise. And for those who don’t own it, DeNoise 6 will be on sale ($30 off!) from February 24th – March 20th. coupon code "NOISEFREE" to take advantage of the discounted price of $49.99 (regularly $79.99).

Topaz DeNoise is designed to let you shoot anywhere in any light and still get crisp, clear and noise-free images. Specializing in extremely noisy high ISO images, DeNoise removes distracting image noise while preserving image detail, giving you the image you wanted without the noise you don’t.

Major features introduced in Topaz DeNoise 6 include:

    • Standalone Application - DeNoise 6 now works as a standalone product and doesn’t require a host editor to work. Although it can still be used as a plugin through Photoshop, Lightroom, and other supported host programs.
    • Camera Specific Presets - DeNoise 6 introduces dozens of presets based on various camera profiles, with multiple ISO presets for each camera.
    • Batch Processing (in standalone mode only) - DeNoise 6 introduces batch processing, allowing you to process a whole folder of images at once. That means no more need for Photoshop actions! Note that batch processing is only available in the standalone version, not the plugin version.
    • Support for High DPI (4k) monitors in Windows 7/8/10

March presentation at Charter Oak Photographic Society - "Mirrorless Cameras"

March presentation at Charter Oak Photographic Society - "Mirrorless Cameras"

        Mirrorless cameras

On Monday, March 28, 2016, Charter Oak Photographic Society will be giving a program on "Mirrorless Cameras."  An open invitation is being sent to anyone interested in this informative presentation.  The meeting time is 7:15 pm and will take place at Charter Oak's meeting place:  Elmwood Community Church, 26 Newington Road, West Hartford, CT.  If needed, directions to the Elmwood Community Church can be found at Charter Oak's website at:  www.charteroakphoto.org.

Hunts Photo personnel will be presenting "Mirrorless Cameras", a discussion of the evolution of the digital camera from DSLR to Mirrorless. See how that small, lightweight cameras have comparable image quality to the same size sensor DSLRs.

Additionally, they provide features unavailable in most DSLR's that make picture taking more fun and easy. This includes the ability to use nearly any interchangeable lens from the past, easier ways to accurately focus, and precise exposure confirmation before taking the picture. See which models offer 4K Video, allowing excellent still images from video clips, Focus Stacking, in-camera automated Time-Lapse Photography, and Live Composite.

In addition, to these "new" features, the basic camera functions of focusing and images stabilization have been improved over DSLR's because of newer Mirrorless technology.

These are but just a few of the features you will find when you explore Mirrorless Camera technology.

Manufacturer reps will be present to answer your questions and show you their cameras.
