Submissions for 2013 Photo Contest: My New England
DUBLIN, NH (August
16, 2013)--Yankee Magazine is
accepting submissions now through Nov 1, 2013, for their second annual photo
contest. This year’s theme is “My New England.” The winning photos will be
featured in Yankee’s March/April
2014 issue, and photographers will win cash prizes for 1st Place
($500), 2nd Place ($300), and 3rd Place ($200). Honorable mention
winners may also be published.
“The subject matter
for ‘My New England’ can be as individual as a person’s relationship to the
region,” says Yankee Magazine’s Art Director Lori Pedrick. “It may be a
stonewall, a meadow of lupines, a picnic with children, a rock climbing
adventure, or a visit to a historical house. We want to see photos that capture
your personal New England.”
Submissions must be
taken in one of the six New England states within the last two years to be
eligible to win. Photographs will be judged based on creativity, composition,
and the ability to capture a strong sense of place. Previously published or
awarded photographs are not eligible for this contest.
