NECCC Winter 2020 Electronic Interclub Competition

The Winter 2020 (held on Feb 8, 2020) report of the NECCC Interclub Digital competition has been posted.

NECCC Winter 2020 Electronic Interclub Competition

The Winter 2020 competition, hosted by the Simsbury Camera Club, was held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the Simsbury Public Library, Simsbury, CT. The competition was directed by Frank Zaremba, MNEC. Additional assistance consisted of projector operator Bill Payne and scorekeepers Gary Gianini and Nancy Schumann. Forty-one clubs participated in the Pictorial section (23 from Class A and 18 from Class B) and thirty-nine clubs participated in the Nature section (17 from Class A and 22 from Class B). Thanks are extended to the Simsbury Camera Club for hosting this second competition of the 2019-20 season.

The judges for the competition were:
  • Jane Toner has been a photography teacher at Westminster School, Simsbury CT for the last 17 years. She has also been a commercial and freelance photographer for the past 10-25 years in RI and CT. Her clients have included Swarovski Crystal, Towle Silversmiths, Cross Pens and Reed and Barton. 
  • Kristen Hines Baker is a professional photographer with ten years of experience. After working as a university photographer for two Southeastern Conference universities, she is now a photography instructor at Tunxis Community College. She graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in photojournalism. Her work has been recognized by numerous organizations including UPAA, CPRAM, CASE, and FPRA.
  • Cindy Gosselin, MNEC is the current president of Charter Oak Photographic Society of West Hartford, CT and co-president of Connecticut Association of Photographers (CAP). She is a vice president of the New England Camera Council, serving as the Council’s Co-Chairman of the Electronic Photograph Interclub Competitions.
