Photo Ops Day at Greater Lynn Photographic Association

Photo Ops Day at Greater Lynn Photographic Association

564 Boston Street Lynn, MA 01905
Saturday, February 15, 10 AM–3 PM
Members: $10 Nonmembers: $15

Got the winter blahs? Had enough of the gray and wet days? Lift your spirits and fuel your creative side by
spending Saturday, February 15, at GLPA taking advantage of the photo opportunities (AKA Photo
Ops) available to you through the efforts of Chris Germain and Barbara Rozavsky.

There will be still-life setups—regular and black light, Shiv Verma’s polarized light setup, glassware, and a few more still being considered. For models, there will be a terrier that loves to dress up. There will also
be a teenage girl posing in the morning and a five-year-old boy posing in the afternoon.

Some of the setups will work best with a macro lens. But don’t let your lack of a macro keep you from coming. You may also want to bring a tripod for the nonmodel setups. Models will be lit with strobe triggered by Pocket Wizards. If you own a Sony camera, you’ll need the special Sony hot shoe adapter.

The cost for the day is $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers. You can just come on the day of the event or register in advance by e-mail (barbphoto@mac.com).

Make sure to put GLPA Photo Ops in your subject line.

For directions, go to the GLPA Web site (www.greaterlynnphoto.org) and look under About Us. In case of inclement weather, a notice will be posted on the Web site as to the status of the event.
